Dark Psy Track Production w/ Quantum Mechanica & Frantic Noise

During the full course of one week, Martin & Gaston (Quantum Mechanica) and Frantic Noise will share the step-by-step process of creating a track from scratch using Ableton Live.

Quantum Mechanica is a creation of Will O' Wisp and Glosolalia. Continually evolving and raising the bar of audio experimentation, they have joined forces to redefine the perception of what is currently known as dark psychedelic trance.

Each artist will show his full set of tools and methods chosen to build up a collaboration track, presenting a practical way of working together with another two artists even in these weird lockdown times. These lessons will also shed light on the complications that might arise when sharing a project using different operating systems and computers and how to overcome them.

After the course students will get all created materials and Ableton project.

Glosalalia

Glosolalia is Martin Boder, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Originally coming from a Nu Metal music background, he started to explore psychedelic trance music — Especially the creations of Russian artists such as Fungus Funk and Parasense. It was Psykovsky’s debut album that changed his perspective in music and psychedelic trance around 2006. That was when he started to make music as Glosolalia, a word that describes the language a person speaks when he is in trance or ecstasy, to become one of the most revolutionary and darkpsy/hi-tech composers of our times.

Glosolalia’s creations are powerful and strong tracks filled with emotional atmospheres. Combining the brutality of destruction and the beauty of creation, his sound explorations are designed in a wide range of bpms, with the use of the newest technologies and experimental ideas.

Will O Wisp (Osom Music)

Will O Wisp is the brainchild of Gaston Mellino, a psychedelic audio explorer hailing from Buenos Aires and producing work since 2006. Since then he has spent countless hours in his laboratory, distilling new age sounds and creating a futuristic patchwork of profound moments and bright melodies while mainly focussing on modular synthesis since 2012.

After years of learning and refining his techniques, Gaston finally released his debut album “Puzzle Symphony” in 2017 on Dark Prisma Records. It is a complex tapestry of beautiful and brutal sonic experiments that has brought forward a new era in Hi Tech and Dark Psychedelic Music. Together with artist Glosolalia, he is also responsible for Quantum Mechanica, a project aiming to expand and redefine the whole soundscape of Psychedelic Trance even further. In late 2017 he created his 1st side-project “Mysterion” and released a first EP on Dark Prisma Records, soon followed by a 2nd side-project under the name of “Gizmo”, releasing in Bom Shanka Music.

Now in 2020, Gaston can look back on a successful history of 10 years touring around the globe and has played all kinds and sizes of events, including legendary Psycrowdelica Festival, Master Of Puppets, Ozora Festival and Universo Parallelo. While he is still one of the core-members of Dark Prisma Records, he recently teamed up with Kindzadza’s Osom Music. Expect some fresh output very soon...

Frantic Noise

Matías Benamo, aka Frantic Noise, is a world-renowned electronic music producer currently based in Costa Rica. Besides being the co-founder of legendary Argentinian label Dark Prisma Records, he is an experienced teacher of music production and has worked for highly regarded schools such as Patsav, Sonica Academy and Escuela MAE.

Frantic Noise can be considered one of the leading producers in "hitech" psychedelic music, creating unique multi-textured and highly-recognizable soundscapes that have been thrilling dance floors around the world for many years. Featuring a bewitching spectrum of noises, his spellbinding bass lines create a deep, textural sonic journey, playing with and disrupting the illusion of rhythm and time.

Since releasing his debut album back in 2006, Matías has been a passionate advocate of the underground electronic music scene and a leading ambassador, promoting the culture across the world. His dedication is evident in his commitment to pass on knowledge and inspire future generations, and he has been running his own workshops for the last 10 years across Latin America, Europe and India, as well as many individual classes.
